Creating an Island

Starting your adventure on VitalCraft Skyblock begins with creating your very own island. This is where you’ll build, expand, and grow your resources. Follow this guide to get your island set up and start your Skyblock journey!

Step 1: Create Your Island

To begin, you’ll need to create your island. Here’s how:

  1. Use the /is create Command

    • Simply type /is create in the chat. This command will generate a new island for you to start building on. After running the command, you'll be teleported to your fresh new island!

  2. Select Your Island Type

    • Upon using the /is create command, you’ll be prompted to choose one of the 9 available island types. Each island type has a unique layout and design that affects your starting resources and how you will build and expand.

The 9 island types you can choose from are:

    1. Beginner Island – A basic island with easy-to-handle resources to help you get started on your Skyblock journey.

    2. Shady-Swamp Island – A swamp-themed island with some water and swamp-like vegetation.

    3. Zen Island – A peaceful, serene island featuring natural landscapes and tranquil surroundings.

    4. Shifty-Sands Island – A desert-themed island with sand dunes and limited water resources.

    5. Mud-Hut Island – A rustic island with a more basic setup, ideal for players looking for a more straightforward starting point.

    6. OG Island – A classic Skyblock island layout, perfect for players who enjoy the traditional Skyblock experience.

    7. Blizzard Island – A cold, snowy island with ice, snow, and a chilling atmosphere, perfect for winter-themed builds.

    8. Wardens Island – A rugged island with a tougher, more challenging environment that requires strategic resource management.

    9. Impossible Island – A highly difficult island with limited resources and a much more challenging environment. Only the most experienced players should choose this one!

Each island type offers a unique starting experience, so choose the one that best fits your playstyle!

Step 2: Island Basics

Once your island is created, you’ll be given a small plot of land to start with. The island comes with basic resources to get you started, such as a tree, some dirt, and cobblestone.

  • Starter Kit: You’ll automatically receive a starter kit upon creation. This kit typically includes:

    • Wooden tools (e.g., axe, pickaxe, shovel)

    • Cobblestone and dirt for expanding your island

    • Seeds for farming and growing crops

Step 3: Managing Your Island

Now that your island is created, it’s time to manage it! Here are some key commands to help you get started:

  • /is settings: Use this command to configure various settings for your island. You can set rules for what other players can and cannot do on your island, such as building, breaking blocks, and more.

  • /is invite <player>: Invite other players to your island. If you want others to help you expand and manage your island, this command is perfect. Be careful who you invite, as you are responsible for their actions on your island.

  • /is leave: If you decide to leave your current island, you can use this command to disband your island or leave and join another player’s island.

Step 4: Expanding Your Island

As you gather resources, your goal is to expand and upgrade your island. Here's how:

  • Island Upgrades: Use the /is upgrades command to unlock upgrades for your island. This can include expanding the size of your island, adding new features, or even unlocking special blocks and spawners. Upgrades help you progress and increase the functionality of your island.

  • Building and Farming: Start gathering resources like wood, stone, ores, and crops. You can plant trees, grow crops, or even set up automated farms. The more you build and farm, the more resources you’ll have at your disposal for upgrading your island.

Step 5: Permissions and Security

You have full control over who can access and interact with your island:

  • Island Permissions: The /is settings menu allows you to adjust permissions for other players on your island. You can choose to grant or restrict access to building, destroying, and using certain items on your island.

    You can set permissions for:

    • Builders: Players allowed to build and break blocks on your island.

    • Visitors: Players who can visit but not modify your island.

    • Members: Full access to your island, including the ability to place and remove blocks.

  • Island Invite and Management: Use /is invite <player> to invite others to your island. Make sure you trust the people you invite, as they can affect your island’s progress!

Step 6: Getting Around Your Island

Navigating around your island is simple:

  • /is home: Teleport back to your island if you’re exploring other areas or need to return quickly.

  • /is spawn: Return to the spawn point where you first created your island.

Step 7: Finalizing Your Island’s Design

Once you have the basics down, it's time to get creative! Here are some things to consider as you design your island:

  • Farm and Resource Management: Organize your island to optimize farming and resource collection. You can set up automated farms, build custom structures, and expand your island with new areas.

  • Aesthetic: Make your island unique with decorative blocks, pathways, and buildings. There are plenty of design options to personalize your space.

Additional Tips

  • Stay Active: The more active you are on your island, the more you’ll be able to expand and improve it. Keep grinding, farming, and completing quests!

  • Watch Your Resources: Be mindful of the resources on your island. Running out of essentials like dirt, cobblestone, or wood can hinder your progress.

  • Upgrade as You Go: Don’t forget to use the /is upgrades command to increase the size of your island and unlock new features. The more you upgrade, the better your island becomes.

Summary

By following these steps, you can create, manage, and expand your island in VitalCraft Skyblock. The world is your oyster! Whether you’re farming, building, trading, or competing, there’s no limit to what you can achieve. Have fun and enjoy the creative freedom that comes with owning your own island!
